Zero Day Vulnerability in Excel

Fri, 16 Jun 2006 15:30:04 GMT

The Microsoft Office team is working on a patch for a new vulnerability in Excel. I’ve been unable to find out how bad the exploit is but apparently at least one MS customer has been impacted by the vulnerability. Windows Saftey Live has been updated to remove malicious software that attempts to exploit the vulnerability but it’s unclear whether it prevents exploitation or just removes it after the fact.
