How does your On Demand Interactive training work?
Simple but effective. There's nothing to be shipped, no download or installation.
You just register, make payment and begin training. After registration and payment
we will email you a PDF of the training manual which you can print and then use
to follow along with the training videos and take notes.
To begin training you logon to the website (see top left of the page) and then go
to the
On Demand Interactive Training Portal.
Just click on the first chapter and watch the training video.
Take notes in your printed course material. Check your understanding with the frequent
quizzes and ask Randy your questions through the Q&A forum for each chapter.
When you are finished with a chapter, logon to the hands-on lab and perform that
chapter's exercizes as outlined in the printed training manual. If you get stuck
on a particular exercise, watch Randy's step-by-step video demonstration of that
exercise.
I don't like computer-based-training. Why should I think your Interactive version
of this course will be any better?
4 reasons:
- This is interactive training.
Hardly 5 minutes go buy without you participating and interacting with the courseware.
I'm famous/infamous for my constant use of questions and interaction with my
students - it's no different in the Interactive, on-demand version. You stay
engaged and participate instead of falling asleep.
- This is multi-media.
You watch my power point slides and listen to me just like a normal class room but
you can rewind and replay anytime you like. My talking head fades in and out at
appropriate times to enhance comprehension via the human element.
- You DO get to ask questions.
Each chapter has its own Internet-based discussion forum which I personally moderate.
- This is hands-on.
Both the in-person and interactive courses include access to my lab environment
which you can access from anwhere. You perform the step-by-step exercises and anytime
along the way you can turn to my exercise demonstration videos which demonstrate
each step of the exercise along with narration. If you get stuck in an exercise,
the demonstration video gets you unstuck and allows you to continue to the next
step.
Do On Demand Interactive courses qualify for CPE credit?
Yes! You will be provided a CPE certificate for the full hours of the course upon
completion of the included online exam.
How long do I have to complete the course?
After we receive payment (use credit card for instant access) your access to the
On Demand Interactive courseware, Q&A forum, and hands-on lab is enabled for
30 days. You must complete your training during this time. But check out the next
question - you still get to ask Randy questions after the training!
Is there anyway I can contact Randy after the training with questions such as when
I get into an audit project and something comes up?
Yes! After the training, you are automatically granted access to Randy's Alumni
Q&A Forum for that course. This is an exclusive benefit only available to individuals
who take Randy's onsite or on demand interactive training.
Do I receive a printed training manual?
No, due to frequent requests we have made the training manual available electronically
so that you can take it with you on projects or of course you print it. You are provided with a PDF of the
training manual which contains all the slides from each chapter and the hands-on
exercises.
Whether you print the PDF or use it online, you can take take notes as you would
during an in-person course.
You can either
- print the manual and take notes the traditional way with pen and
paper

take notes using Adobe Acrobat's Typewriter feature which allows
you type text anywhere on a PDF page - the advantage being you get to take the training manual and your notes with you electronically
instead of a paper manual that sits on a shelf - either way, it's up to you
