Here's where I stand on log management

1. We need log management solutions. There're too many logs and not enough time.
2. Companies' needs differ. Some need massive scalability, some don't. Some need support for separation of duty, some don't. Et cetera...
3. So far, I haven't found The One Log Management Solution That Fits All Needs and Budgets. When I do, I promise to let you know. Until then I will explore vendor solutions and let you know the ones I think are worth taking a look at and why. Some of these vendors help support this site and its free information and resources.
