Microsoft Security Bulletin MS06-039 - Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Filters Could Allow Remote Code Execution (915384)

Working on the Office team could not have been fun this month.  This bulletin concerns vulnerabilities in how Office handles 2 image file types: GIF and PNG files.  It affects all Windows versions of Office as well as Project, Works and OneNote but not the Mac versions.  Unless you are confident your anti-malware is covering all likely exploitation vectors you will want to get this update out as soon as possible.  If you are going to test, get it done and get the patch out.  I recommend testing and deploying this patch in conjunction with MS06-037 and 038.
